On 3rd July 2018 in Harare Sports Club Australian ODI and T20 Captain Aaron Finch scored 172 runs against Zimbabwe. Due to his brilliant knock Australia managed to reach 229 runs in the loss of 2 wickets. At the end he was out due to hit wicket. Australia managed to win by 100 runs. It was Australia's 4th highest run victory for them. During his innings he faced 76 balls which comprises of 16 fours and 10 sixes and strike rate over 226.32. He build partnership with D'Arcy Short. That partnership was the 2nd Highest Partnership for 1st Wicket in T20 International and the 1st Highest Partnership among Australia in T20 International. Zimbabwean bowlers comprises of J. Nyumbu who bowled 3 overs and gave 44 runs, B. Muzarabani who bowled 4 overs gave 38 overs and took 2 wickets (including D'Arcy Short and Aaron Finch), C. Mpofu who bowled 4 overs and gave 53 runs, T. Chisoro who bowled 4 overs and gave 19 runs, R. Burl who bowled 2 overs and gave 30 runs, C. Chibhabha who bowled 2 overs and gave 19 runs and S. Mire who bowled only 1 over and gave 21 runs. While chasing 230 runs, Zimbabwe failed to score 230 and they scored only 129 runs for 9 wickets. Their highest runs scorer S. Mire scored 28 runs off 19 balls. P. Moor supported him by scoring 19 runs off 11 balls. Andrew Tye got 3 wickets, bowled 4 overs and gave only 12 runs. Ashton Agar got 2 wickets, gave 16 runs and bowled 4 overs. B. Stanlake, J. Richardson, G. Maxwell and M. Stoinis got 1 wicket each and D'Arcy Short did not get wicket.
